Description
Monitors Juniper LDP Ingress Octets and Transit Octets.
Prerequisites
SNMP should be enabled in end device and device should support JUNIPER-LDP-MIB OIDs and SNMP credentials should be attached against the device in portal.
How to Apply: This template is All instance selection based. It will not ask user to select any instance(s) while assigning it to a device.
Metric Parameters
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Frequency | Warning Threshold | If the metric value satisfies the condition defined along with Warning Threshold value, then a notification is sent to the user. |
Critical Threshold | If the metric value satisfies the condition defined along with Critical Threshold value, then a notification is sent to the user. |
Alert | The alert value can be set to either Yes or No. If it is Yes, then an alert message is sent to the user. |

SNMP OID | 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.14.2.1.6 |
Expression | NULL |
Description | Monitors the number of octets of traffic originated on this box, forwarded over the current LDP FEC. The number reported is not realtime and may be subject to several minutes delay. The delay is controllable by ldp statistics gathering interval, which by default is 5 minutes. [OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.14.2.1.6] ADDITIONAL INFO: Label Distribution Protocol (LDP) is a protocol for distributing labels in non-traffic-engineered applications. LDP allows routers to establish label-switched paths (LSPs) through a network by mapping network-layer routing information directly to data link layer-switched paths. LDP associates a forwarding equivalence class (FEC) with each LSP it creates. The FEC associated with an LSP specifies which packets are mapped to that LSP. |
