Introduction
OpsRamp allows you to configure web service monitors according to your requirement thereby enhancing the web service security and stabilizing the IT operations process flow.
Prerequisites
- Whitelist IP addresses with respect to your location.
- Assign Web Service template - This is used to initiate the web services monitoring via Assign Templates or Device Management Policies.
- Set permissions for Device Create, Device Edit, Device View, and Device Manage to create, edit, view, and delete the configured web service monitors respectively.
- Verify if the role assigned to you contains access to all resources. Otherwise, you cannot delete a web service monitor.
The attributes created after configuring a web service monitor provides more visibility regarding details like metrics, monitors, availability log, and so on.
Selecting web service monitors
Multiple web service monitors are available to configure in the application.
To select a web service monitor:
- From All Clients, select a client.
- Select Infrastructure > Web Services and click ADD.
- From the options in the Type drop-down menu, select the web service monitor.
Add Web Service window displays more options to configure web service monitor.
After selecting the web service monitor, you can configure the different web service monitors.
