Introduction
Secure Shell (SSH) is a cryptographic network protocol for operating network services securely over an unsecured network. Any network service can be secured with SSH. Typical applications include remote command-line login and remote command execution.
OpsRamp facilitates agentless discovery of SSH-enabled devices.

Prerequisite
Before starting the discovery process for SSH-enabled devices, provide valid credentials (SSH Keys) and IP addresses of SSH-based machines.

If an agent is installed on the Linux machine, then the agent is used rather than the gateway.Agentless SSH discovery
Agentless discovery uses the OpsRamp Linux gateway (instead of using an agent) to discover SSH-enabled resources.
To discover an SSH-enabled resource:
- Install the gateway.
- Create a discovery profile.
- Scan the devices.
